Kairo private beta
Terms of Use
These terms explain the permitted use of Kairo, its catalog, local download tools, support service, and related website.
1. Beta service
Kairo is a private-beta Windows library and download manager operated as the Kairo Project in Sweden. Features, catalog entries, and provider availability may change while the software is tested.
These terms do not replace rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer and data-protection rights.
2. Authorized use only
Kairo does not grant a license to any third-party game, artwork, mod, archive, or other content. You may use a catalog link or imported torrent only when you own the content, have a valid license, or otherwise have permission under applicable law.
- Do not use Kairo to infringe copyright, bypass access controls, evade payment, distribute malware, or violate a provider's terms.
- Do not submit false rights claims, false reports, automated spam, or material that exposes unrelated personal or confidential data.
- Do not interfere with Kairo, its reporting service, security controls, or other users.
3. Catalog and third-party services
Kairo currently does not host third-party game archives on Kairo-operated servers. It can display metadata and links that lead to independent services. That distinction does not guarantee that a link is authorized, accurate, safe, permanent, or lawful in your location.
Provider labels identify where a saved link leads; they are not endorsements or proof of affiliation. Third-party services have their own terms, privacy practices, security, and availability.
4. Local files and torrents
Library records, imported torrent files, queues, profiles, and install paths are primarily processed on your device. You are responsible for selecting lawful inputs, checking destination paths, maintaining backups, and reviewing security prompts.
Kairo may invoke bundled or system tools to download and extract files. Large downloads, archive extraction, updates, mods, and profile restoration can alter local files. Keep independent backups of important saves and installations.
5. Reports, analytics, and rights requests
Bug reports, privacy requests, and rights-holder notices are transmitted only when submitted. The public installer separately offers an unchecked choice to send one pseudonymous installation event; no later usage analytics are sent. Details and withdrawal controls are described in the Privacy Notice.
A credible notice may cause temporary disabling while facts are checked. Detailed proof of ownership or authority is required before Kairo confirms a final page removal.
The full evidence requirements and review process appear in the Copyright and Rights-Holder Policy.
6. Software license
Except for components identified in the Third-Party Notices, Kairo's original software, interface, branding, and documentation are proprietary and all rights are reserved. Installation gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the beta for lawful personal testing.
You may not sell, sublicense, impersonate, or redistribute Kairo as your own product, remove legal notices, or use Kairo branding in a way that suggests approval or affiliation.
7. Availability and warranty
The beta is provided as available and may contain defects. Kairo does not promise uninterrupted access, compatible provider pages, complete metadata, successful extraction, or preservation of third-party links.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Kairo Project is not liable for indirect loss, lost data, provider conduct, or unauthorized content selected by a user. Nothing here excludes liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
8. Suspension and changes
Kairo may remove catalog entries, restrict reporting abuse, disable integrations, or end beta access to protect users, rights holders, the service, or legal compliance. Material term changes will be published with a new effective date.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Swedish law, without taking away mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. Disputes may be brought before competent Swedish courts unless mandatory law provides another forum.
Operator contact is available through the Kairo Support form. Choose the category that matches your request. Rights holders should use the dedicated verified process.
