Kairo and third-party content

Kairo's original software, interface, branding, and documentation are protected by copyright. Games, artwork, screenshots, videos, mods, trademarks, and provider names remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or a license from Kairo.

Kairo currently does not host third-party game archives on Kairo-operated servers. It can index metadata and link to independent services. That fact does not by itself establish that a catalog entry or link is authorized or lawful, so Kairo reviews properly identified claims about material or links displayed through the service.

Detailed proof is required

A complete request should provide:

1. the claimant's full legal name, organization, working email, role, and signed declaration;
2. a clear description of the protected work and the rights claimed;
3. the exact Kairo page URL, game ID, title, image, metadata, or link being disputed;
4. a detailed chain-of-title or authority explanation showing how the claimant controls the relevant rights;
5. an official source URL, registration record, contract or license reference, or other reliable supporting evidence;
6. for an agent, lawyer, or licensee, detailed evidence that the rights holder authorized the request;
7. the requested action and declarations that the notice is accurate and made in good faith.

Supporting PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, or PDF evidence may be attached. Kairo does not request passwords, payment data, full passports, or unrelated confidential records. Sensitive material should be redacted to the minimum needed for verification.

Review process

1. Submission: the claim enters Admin as Verification required with an immutable case identifier and timeline.
2. Identity and scope check: Kairo checks the claimant, authority, work, and exact disputed location.
3. Temporary action: a sufficiently credible claim may cause the page to be disabled from public browsing and stale install actions while review continues.
4. Decision: verified evidence may result in final removal. Insufficient, inconsistent, or abusive claims may be rejected or returned for more information.
5. Audit: rights cases and enforcement events are retained as a case record rather than silently deleted.

Processing time depends on completeness and complexity. Sending duplicates does not accelerate review.

Corrections and counter-notices

A source operator, uploader, or other affected party may submit a response identifying the case and providing reliable evidence of authorization, ownership, public-domain status, mistaken identity, or another lawful basis. Kairo may keep the entry disabled while competing evidence is reviewed.

Lifting a server-side block does not automatically republish a catalog entry; Admin must review and deliberately republish it.

False or abusive claims

Do not knowingly misrepresent ownership, authority, or infringement. Kairo may reject incomplete or fraudulent notices, restrict repeated abuse, preserve relevant records, and refer serious disputes for legal review.

Submit a rights-holder request

Use the dedicated form instead of the ordinary bug-report form. It collects the exact material, ownership evidence, authority details, declarations, and supporting files needed for a review.
